Kept in the Star Library

Cloud Kingdom Archives

The Star Library keeps every map, plan, and first sketch of the kingdom. Follow the path from the first foundations to the edge of the known sky.

Origins

Measure Twice, Cut Once

The Cloud Kingdom was founded on measurement. Before a single stone was set, its founders wrote down the rules of precision: every length, weight, and count is taken the same way, every time, by everyone. Every plan is measured twice before anything is cut.

That is how the kingdom came to keep the most exact measure of the most least thing in the land. A grain of starlight and a hundred waterfalls answer to the same rules.

Architecture

The Hall of Acknowledgement: Three Sides

The plans show the Castle, the Hall of Acknowledgement, and Star Academy, first apart and then joined by bridges into one great complex. Every path in the kingdom leads to the Hall.

The Hall rests on one idea: every story has three sides. There is one side, there is the other side, and there is the truth. Here what was measured is set in balance, and what was learned is acknowledged. What the Hall acknowledges is what sticks.

The master plan was drawn in pencil first, then painted. Slide across it to see both.

The Kingdom

Then and Now

The kingdom was mapped again and again as it grew. Compare the maps and you will find islands that moved, bridges that were added, and labels that changed. Each difference is a mistake caught or a lesson learned along the way.

The Trial of Six Gates

How the Elders Learned to See Again

The Elders found that they could grow set in their ways, and that a creature set in its ways slowly loses the ability to see. So they made the six trials, to see again through the eyes of young dragons.

What no one knew was that the Elders were always taking notes, quietly, to improve their own ways. In fact, every exploration and every expansion of the kingdom grew from what the Elders learned watching the Dragon Games.

Those notes filled the ledger and the archives, and the ledger and the archives gave rise to the glass scoreboard. It took many eons to build, and it may be broken in a moment.

Adventure Maps

Every Light Seeker an Explorer

Star Academy teaches navigation: reading a map, finding a path, and finding out how far each creature can go. Every Light Seeker is a small explorer with a world of their own to discover, like a little prince on a little planet.

These are the explorers’ maps, some finished and some not, from the underwater pass to the reaches no one has charted yet. One explorer’s copy is kept twice: in pencil notes, and finished.
